Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon SuperS: My First Step in English with Sailor Moon (美少女戦士セーラームーンSS セーラームーンとはじめてのえいご) is a CD-ROM-based edutainment title for the Playdia console.[1] It is also taglined as "Let's play English!"

Release[]

Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon SuperS: My First Step in English with Sailor Moon was developed by Bandai and released for the Playdia system in Japan on August 24, 1995.[2]

Features[]

The game starts with the Alphabet Song, followed by choosing the right Crystal Carrion. From here, one of six activities begin (either by way of the phone, the door, or a letter):

Usagi invites Chibi-Usa to her house to help her find a present she wrapped for Mamoru. In this activity, the player learns about body parts, face parts, words that deal with a room, clothing and the four seasons.

Ami invites Chibi-Usa for a walk around town, partaking in different events—such as giving flowers as gifts, finding a lost dog and scooping ice cream. This activity teaches the player daily expressions, places in town, types of fruit, types of flowers and left/right.

Rei invites Chibi-Usa to the Crown Game Center to play some games: The Devil Card Game (where the player learns their ABCs), the Bowling Game (where the player learns numbers), and the Lucky Shot Game (where the player learns about the Senshis' accessories)

Makoto invites Chibi-Usa to her house to cook beef curry and parfaits for lunch. This activity also teaches kitchen words and colors.

Minako invites Chibi-Usa on an outing to the zoo. Aside from learning about animals, the activity also teaches the player about action words, and left/right.

All 5 Senshi (plus Mamoru) invite Chibi-Usa to join them an outing to either the movies (which plays the traditional Japanese folktale Kaguyahime) or a karaoke studio (to sing either London Bridge or Mary Had a Little Lamb), with either trip ending at the Fruits Parlor Crown, in which the player can order a sandwich, a cream soda, a chocolate sundae or cheesecake.
